What services do you offer in scaffolding and access?

We offer a full scaffolding service, from design and planning to erection and dismantling, as well as scaffolding materials hire and security provisions. Sometimes, scaffolding is not appropriate for an access project. In these cases, we provide cherry pickers.

How do I determine the right type of scaffolding for my project?

How do you guarantee scaffolding structures are always compliant with safety regulations?

We abide by HSE Work at Height guidance for all scaffolding and access provision. All our staff are fully trained to NASC standards as well as on the specific safety guidance from our scaffolding system manufacturers. Certain use cases for scaffolding will have particular safety standards to consider, such as scaffolding being erected over walkways or highways – in these cases, we carefully reexamine the relevant acts and guidance to ensure compliance and the utmost level of safety possible for our scaffolders, anyone with access to the scaffolding, and anyone who might be in contact with the area around the scaffolding. Once we have signed off on the structure as safe, it becomes your responsibility to maintain and confirm the scaffolding structure is safe – this must be done as regularly as possible due to the possibility of interference from a range of variables.
If you wish to discuss security for your scaffolding, we can provide a range of options for this, from camera surveillance to tin sheeting.

Do you provide on-site consultations to access project requirements?

On-site consultations are not always a necessity, as we can utilise digital, geographic and surveying tools to design safe structures remotely if we're provided with adequate information. For more complicated projects – whether due to insurance stipulations, unique environmental conditions or large renovation projects in hard-to-reach areas, we're more than happy to attend the site and discuss the project in person.

How quickly can you mobilise scaffolding for a new project?

The rate of mobilisation depends on a variety of factors, such as the length and height of the scaffolding required, and whether any additional features such as hoists are needed. Our stock is strategically located close to the M25 and we're fast to strike structures as soon as they're no longer required, so we're confident that we're able to accomodate most jobs of all sizes quickly.

What other types of access do you provide, beyond scaffolding?

Scaffolding is not always appropriate for every access need. For smaller jobs that must be performed quickly, or for multiple small jobs occurring across a large space (such as replacing external lighting), we provide cherry pickers, enabling safe and fast access services for less cost and disruption.

What safety measures do you have in place during the scaffolding erection process?

Safety is our top priority, and all staff must wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during scaffolding erection, maintenance checks and striking. This includes but is not limited to:

Hard hats
Fall protection
High visibility vests
Hand protection
Appropriate clothing – it is important that our team have full mobility and are not obstructed by particularly thick or tight clothing.

Our equipment is also regularly checked to ensure that there is no damage to its integrity.
Before erection of the scaffolding structure, all scaffolds must be designed to consider the needs of the site and project. These plans are kept throughout the life cycle of the project and available to be viewed at any time by any appropriate project stakeholder.

We also use preliminary tests to ensure anchor ties are installed correctly, and that the base material is able to withstand the load of the scaffold. Scaffold ties are then 'proof tested' to ensure that anchors have been installed correctly. Pull test results are formally recorded in line with BS 8539.
